2021 Helping Hands

Merlot, Petit Verdot

Each year “Helping Hands” evolves as a different wine, from a different block. Sometimes it’s a single varietal and sometimes a blend. In 2021 we were especially excited about our estate Merlot. This was the year that our youngest Merlot vines were maturing and producing grapes for the first year and we wanted to craft a “new meets vintage” blend combining both our youngest and oldest Merlot vines. A little Petit Verdot was picked along the way and co-fermented with the younger vines. Notes of plum and baked cherry with a little blackberry and Christmas spice.

Pairs well with braised short ribs, grilled rib-eye, sweet glazed wings, cream of mushroom
